Galaxy S24 Ultra Concept Shows How Samsung’s Next Flagship Could Look Like with Just Three Camera Sensors

The Galaxy S22 Ultra and the Galaxy S23 Ultra share much more than just the fact that they are from the same company. It is safe to say that both devices have the same DNA and look almost identical. As a matter of fact, you would be forgiven for mistaking the latter for the former and vice-versa. However, we have been hearing that Samsung is going to remove one camera sensor from the Galaxy S24 Ultra, giving you a total of 3 sensors on the back.

Samsung could combine the two telephoto lenses and offer a single with a variable focal length on the Galaxy S24 Ultra

You will get the primary camera that will offer variable aperture, you will offer an ultra-wide sensor, and you will offer a telephoto sensor with variable optical zoom between 3x and 10x. Samsung is essentially removing an extra telephoto camera since the one will do the job of both by providing two focal lengths.

Honestly, I like the third design as it makes the Galaxy S24 Ultra look much cleaner and more cohesive than the rest of the devices. If you are wondering what is on the phone's right side, that's just the autofocusing module to help the primary camera focus easily.

Now, I do understand that people might be under the impression that Samsung is not looking to make big changes with the upcoming Galaxy S24 Ultra, and we have heard that as well. There is a chance that the HP2 sensor will still be used, but this time with a variable aperture, and most of the camera hardware is going to remain the same. But recent conversations have talked about how Samsung will actually significantly offer a better software experience when it comes to photography, so you can expect better processing and more.

There is still a good amount of time left before we see an actual reveal but worry not, as we will keep you posted heading into the future. There is no doubt that the Galaxy S24 Ultra looks promising, and since I did not upgrade to the Galaxy S23 Ultra, it looks even more tempting.
