Earlier this month, we reported that Samsung has started testing the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update on several phones. At that time, we also talked about how it is only internally happening, which means only Samsung engineers have access to the software, but now we have the first look at just one screenshot from the update, showing us a very minor change in how upcoming update is going to look like.
One UI 6.0 does not look a lot different than One UI 5.1, but you can expect a lot of other improvements
Before you get disappointed, it is safe to say that Android 14 looks a lot like Android 13 in terms of the overall user interface. However, the new version brings more advanced customization that will make you feel your phone is truly yours. The same goes for One UI 6.0, as it will look similar to One UI 5.1 but will offer deeper customization.
The screenshot was spotted by Twitter user @tarunvats33, who shared the One UI 6.0 Quick Toggle screenshot that shows that the icons are now slightly bigger than before. Honestly, this does not mean much, and there can be several factors contributing to why the icons appear larger, so we will have to wait for the actual beta to come out so we can see for ourselves.

The source also mentioned that the test build is running on Galaxy S23 Ultra with the build number S918BXXU1BWE2. There is a high chance that the company is testing the update on several other devices as well, so you can expect more information to come up soon.
As for One UI 6.0, we are hoping that Samsung will complete the rollout by the end of this year. Sure, some phones will be receiving the update in January 2024, but for the most part, the update should hit most of the phones by the end of this year, provided Samsung follows its schedule from last year.
One UI 6.0 will bring almost all the improvements we have been seeing in Android 14 so far, on top of some other additions that Samsung will add. The company should open the beta program soon for all supported devices, and we will keep you posted as we get to know more about what Samsung has in store for us.
