Galaxy S24 Series to Adapt the Same Design as the Galaxy S23 with Minor Tweaks, as Samsung Pushes for More Internal Refinements

Galaxy S23 Ultra

Ever since the release of the Galaxy S22 series, it has become evident that Samsung is walking on a line where its phones have started to look similar. Now, one could actually go ahead and call Samsung lazy, but we have discussed time and again how phone designs have hit a plateau, and whatever enhancements we can get are mostly limited to changes to the hardware of the phone itself. The Galaxy S23 looked nearly identical to its predecessor, and we now hear that the same could be true with the Galaxy S24 series.

This should not come as a surprise because recently, we heard that the Galaxy S24 Ultra is going to look a lot similar to the Galaxy S23 Ultra, except for a few differences on the back since Samsung is getting rid of one telephoto sensor as it would be combining the 3x and 10x into one, keeping that in mind. Based on that, a renowned tipster shared a mockup of the phone's appearance without an additional camera module on the back.

Samsung following the same design for the Galaxy S24 should not come as a surprise to anyone

The same tipster claims an early rumor suggests that the Galaxy S24 and the Plus variant will also share the same design as their predecessor. This is not a surprising thing at all, considering how Samsung has been refining this design for some time now.

Honestly, this should not come as a surprise because drastically changing the design with each generation makes no sense. Why? Well, if you are constantly changing how your phone looks, it loses its identity. Samsung started its design journey with the Galaxy S6 and made small but stellar changes to see what works and what doesn't.

The current design philosophy can be found in the Galaxy S, Galaxy Z, and Galaxy A series of devices and has become an identity for the company. Apple does the same with its iPhones, where the company changes the design ever so slightly. OnePlus, on the other hand, constantly changes how the phones look, ending up taking away that recognizable factor from the device.

Whatever the case, it would be safe to assume that Samsung will take its time before the Galaxy S24 series is finally unveiled. We should start seeing some renders and concepts in the coming months. So stay tuned for more information on Samsung's next big thing.
