AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT & RX 6800 16 GB GPUs are now available below $500 US, making them a great option for new PC builders.
AMD Radeon RX 6800 16 GB Under $400 US Is A Better GPU Than RTX 4060 Ti, RX 6800 XT Below $500 US
Starting with the AMD Radeon RX 6800 16 GB graphics card, we have a Yeston custom design that is available for a low price of $394 US (2799 RMB) in China. This is the lowest price for the GPU so far and it is a 47% drop versus the MSRP. That's almost half the price you'd paid for the same GPU at launch. This deal is only available at the Chinese retail outlet, JD.com, but there's a deal on the RX 6800 XT for the US audiences too.
At Newegg, the AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT can be found for a low price of $499 US. The specific GPU variant is the ASRock Phantom Gaming which is also a fully custom design and this is a 30 percent drop versus the MSRP. The card is originally priced at $539 US and you can use the promo code of "VGAEXCAA687" to get an additional $40 US off.
Although not as significant as the Radeon RX 6800, what's important is that both of these cards feature 16 GB memory & based on the recent reviews of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti graphics cards, we find these cards as a better deal over NVIDIA's new offerings. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti is available in two variants, the 8 GB model which is priced at $399 US, and the 16 GB GPU which will be priced at $499 US. The difference in performance between the two variants will be very negligible since they share the same specs and even NVIDIA said that the extra VRAM will be coming in handy in a few scenarios.
Meanwhile, the AMD Radeon RX 6800 16 GB is already 10-20% faster than the RTX 4060 Ti based on the resolution while the RX 6800 XT can be anywhere from 25-35% faster. Sure the RTX 4060 Ti has a much faster RT engine and DLSS 3 is unmatched but if you were a gamer who doesn't want to use those two features, then AMD's Radeon RX 6000 GPUs still hold a lot of value for the performance & specs they offer.
These cards will also look a much better deal compared to AMD's newer Radeon RX 7000 series as seen with the Radeon RX 7600 & RX 6650 XT comparisons. The RX 6650 XT not only costs less than the RX 7600 but also offers similar performance and the prices on the older cards are expected to drop even further.
