A new Diablo IV patch is now live, bringing a selection of fixes that improve the experience not only in the Eternal realm but also in the Season of the Malignant.
Patch 1.1.0c focuses mostly on bug fixes, fixing a variety of issues such as an issue where combining the Dark Dance and Punishing Speed Malignant Powers could cause the player to stun themselves, an issue that would display Werebear and Werewolf fur wrongly, an issue that caused specific controllers not to function correctly and more.
In addition, the new Diablo IV patch brings improvements for the Premium Battle Pass activation as well as stability improvements. The full patch notes for patch 1.1.0c can be found here.
The latest Diablo IV patch will be followed in the near future by patch 1.1.1, which will bring, among other things, Barbarian and Sorcerer changes, more bug fixes, and new features. More information on the patch will be coming later today during a new livestream from the development team.
Diablo IV is now available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Xbox One worldwide. You can learn more about what makes the latest entry in the popular series a solid, but not perfect, action role-playing game by checking out Alessio's review.
Diablo IV is a return to form at a much needed time for Blizzard. It delivers incredibly fun hack and slash action combat, a greatly improved skill system, and a ton of things to do, not to mention the best story told in the franchise yet. It also looks awesome, sounds great, and runs well (except for rare instances of traversal stuttering). That said, it sticks a little bit too closely to the rulebook, which works against it in a few areas. The open world is not as dynamic as one could have hoped, with events getting repetitive rather quickly. The side content doesn't provide any real narrative juice, and the endgame replayability may not be as deep as needed due to limited randomization and lack of certain features.
