After months of leaks and rumors, the time is finally here as Sony has finally announced a launch event of its much-hyped Sony WF-1000XM5, or in other words, the best true-wireless earbuds that you will be able to get your hands on. Sony has been loyal to the WH and WF series for five generations now, giving us better products with every generation and some significant improvements, and this does not change this time around as we are expecting some major upgrades in terms of the overall sound quality and battery life, as well.

Sony has confirmed on its Twitter account that the launch event for Sony WF-1000XM5 is going to take place on July 24th. This means that in just five days, we will look at one of the best pair of earphones you can get your hands on, and honestly, I cannot wait. I already own the WH-1000XM5, but I have been looking for something more portable and easily carried around without sticking out like a sore thumb.

Now, we do know that the Sony WF-1000XM5 will be present, but Sony can also end up releasing a new product or maybe a new colorway of some older headphones. The point is that we are probably going to get more than one product, and I am looking forward to how that turns out because, let's be honest, the market does need some competition.
The Sony WF-1000XM5 is slated to bring a number of improvements, including the Dynamic Driver X tech with 8.4mm drivers, proprietary processors, real-time noise reduction, three microphones in each earbud, and more. From what we have heard so far, these earphones are supposed to have up to 24 hours of battery life, including the case. You can expect all the latest tech in these earphones. However, they are not going to be cheap. Based on the information we have received, the new earphones will run you around $359, making them nearly $79 more expensive than their predecessors.
