This shows the popularity of AMD's 3D V-Cache technology within the gaming audiences who are buying these like hotcakes. The sales of the 5800X3D are particularly impressive since the chip did come out more than a year ago and continues to keep pushing AM4 sales. We talked with a few & key motherboard players in the market and it is true that the AM4 platform's discontinuation event was going to happen later this year to focus on the AM5 platform but that doesn't seem to be the case since AM4 is still presents a lucrative business opportunity within the entry-level & mid-range gaming market.

The 5800X3D was and remains one of the best gaming chips on the market but the 7800X3D is the next best thing with performance that exceeds Intel's flagship and a pricing that is usually close to the $400 US mark. As for the motherboard sales, the AM4 discounts make it the best-selling series on the retailer with 1420 motherboards sold but Intel's LGA 1700 socketed boards also saw an up-tick with 910 units sold. AM5 pushed 820 units which was also a sharp increase from the previous weeks.

Of all the top 10 chips sold by Mindfactory, 9 of these CPUs are from AMD (Ryzen 7000 / Ryzen 5000) whereas just one chip is from Intel and that's the Core i5-13600KF which sits at the 10th place. The German market has been very favorable to AMD CPUs in the past and that trend is continued however in other marketplaces, Intel CPUs are selling well too.
There's a reason why Intel saw an increase in the client market share segment whereas AMD saw a decline in both share and revenue. But despite that, AMD's Ryzen 7 3D V-Cache parts are insane & the US-exclusive 5600X3D is just another chip in that gives AM4 users another excuse to stick to the platform rather than upgrading to AM5.
