Steam has set a new top concurrent player number record some hours ago, with Valve's platform closing in at 34 million concurrent players. Valve's platform set a new record yesterday (at 14:00 UTC) with 33.675.299 users being connected to the platform simultaneously. The previous peak CCU was 33.598.520 players. Interestingly, of those close to 34 million users, 10.653.243 users were playing a game, suggesting that roughly 2/3 of the connected players were doing other things (via @Morwull).
