The Nothing Phone 2 is easily the one phone that I am looking forward to the most, and the phone is launching pretty soon, considering how we are not that far away from the official release. With that said, owing to the company's transparency, we finally have access to a first proper look at the upcoming device, showing how the phone looks, and honestly, you are getting pretty much a design that is based on the foundation of the original design but with some subtle change.
The Nothing Phone 2 looks a lot like its predecessor, helping the company establish an identity for the phone
So, the Nothing Phone 2 was revealed by MKBHD in his Dope Tech video, and while the video had other gadgets and tech as well, being the phone nerds that we are, we wanted to get to know more about the new phone and honestly, there are a lot of things we still don't know, but at least the design along with its elements are out in the open.
The Nothing Phone 2 looks bigger than the original, and the Glyph lighting on the back makes an obvious return, but this time around, it is slightly different. For instance, the LED around the camera is now split into two. The same goes for the main LED strip that goes around the wireless charging coil, but that one is split into six individual strips. The LEDs are still going to be white, but you are going to have more control, all thanks to the software, so you can do some really nice customization.
Brownless has mentioned how the top part that circles around the wireless charging coil now has over 16 individual LEDs. Users will be able to program these LEDs for various purposes, including the ability to use them as a volume level indicator as well as a Glyph timer. The more interesting thing about the new Nothing Phone 2 is that these features could be coming to a number of third-party apps, as well. So, now I am really looking forward to seeing how it works.
The Nothing Phone 2 is set ot launch officially on July 11th, so you just have ot wait a week for the launch and we will be sure to keep you posted about all the information that we get our hands on. This phone is looking a lot more promising, and I am hoping to see all the new additions the company has introduced.
A new era. Where iconic design meets premium performance.
A product of meticulous engineering and obsessive attention to detail. Our proudest design story so far.
