We have been hearing about the Galaxy S24 Ultra for quite some time. Everything ranges from how Samsung has decided to ditch the variable zoom camera to how we are going to get the latest and greatest in terms of hardware and a similar design, but the new information we have sheds light on a new camera that is being added to the flagship.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra needs to do more than just feature a 5x telephoto camera to truly capture the customer's interest
Based on information received from trusted GalaxyClub, it is now being said that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will become the first phone in the S series to feature a 5x telephoto camera; the sensor was lost spotted in the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and never made its way to the S series devices.
Now, if you have been staying up to date with everything that Samsung has been doing, the Galaxy S21 Ultra, S22 Ultra, and S23 Ultra all use a combination of 3x and 10x optical telephoto zoom cameras. However, with the S24 Ultra, Samsung is looking to change that, and while we are not sure if it is going to replace the 3x or 10x, it certainly looks like a good change.
Sadly, at the time of writing, we are not really sure what else is going to come with the Galaxy S24 Ultra. However, I am really hoping that Samsung does add some really nice features, including the variable aperture, because that feature has been missing from Samsung phones for some time now, and the camera system on future Samsung phones can really use an upgrade.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra is going to be released in the first quarter of 2024, and you can expect the device to feature a number of improvements, including some obvious ones. We do know that Samsung will not be changing the design language a lot, so you are more or less getting a phone that would look the same as its predecessors, which really is not a bad thing. We will keep you posted with all the information that comes our way. Until then, stay tuned.
